报告人Philip Cole, M.D., Ph.D. is a professor at Departments of Medicine/Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology, and Chief/Director of Division of Genetics at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Cole received his B.S. degree from Yale University and M.D./Ph.D. degrees from Johns Hopkins University. He pursued postdoctoral studies and medicine residency at Harvard Medical School from 1991 to 1996, and subsequently became an assistant professor at Rockefeller University. In 1999, Dr. Cole joined Johns Hopkins University and had been chairman of Pharmacology Department for 18 years before he moved to Harvard Medical School in 2017.

Dr. Cole is a leading scientist in chemical biology and pharmacology. His research has concerned developing and applying chemical approaches to understand the mechanisms and functions of protein post-translational modifications (PTMs) in the biomedical sciences. Dr. Cole has made outstanding achievements in the field of epigenetics and signal transduction.
